“American Dad!” is getting its first-ever soundtrack, with a collection of 12 to 14 of the show’s most memorable songs, like “Daddy’s Gone” and “When I Dress My Body.” This album will be available on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, coinciding with the debut of the next season on TBS.
At San Diego Comic-Con, the show’s cast and producers, including Wendy Schaal, Scott Grimes, Rachael MacFarlane, Dee Bradley Baker, and Jeff Fischer, along with executive producers Matt Weitzman, Kara Vallow, and Nic Wegener, discussed the upcoming season in Ballroom 20.
Weitzman also revealed some exciting guest stars for the new season, including Charles Barkley, Michael Imperioli, Leslie Jones, Joel McHale, Bret The Hitman Hart, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Neal McDonough, and both Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick.
The upcoming episodes promise plenty of intrigue, with plotlines including a train accident where Roger and Stan must merge bodies to survive, and an episode where Rogu falls ill, leading the family to pose as doctors to save him. There will also be a Christmas episode and a musical installment featuring Klaus rapping.
The Comic-Con panel gave fans a sneak peek at Season 21 with a teaser and a fun twist: the cast swapped roles and performed scenes as each other’s characters.
“American Dad!” follows super-patriotic CIA agent Stan Smith (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) and his quirky family in Langley Falls, VA. The family includes Stan’s wife Francine (Wendy Schaal), their daughter Hayley (Rachael MacFarlane), their geeky son Steve (Scott Grimes), the sarcastic alien Roger (MacFarlane), and Klaus (Dee Bradley Baker), a goldfish with the brain of a German Olympic skier.
