When it comes to Tucker (Trevor St. John) on The Young and the Restless, you can’t help but feel for the guy. Life’s been rough: Devon (Bryton James) wants nothing to do with him, he’s watched helplessly as Ashley (Eileen Davidson) struggled with a mental health crisis, and if that wasn’t enough, Audra (Zuleyka Silver) not only dumped him but is now scheming to snatch Glissade from under his nose.

In the June 17 episode, Audra is barreling ahead with her plan to oust Tucker from Glissade, using Victor (Eric Braeden) as the covert buyer orchestrating the coup. Tucker’s new assistant, Dawn (Gina Garcia-Sharp), reaches out to the board members to gauge their stance on the sale, but it’s evident they’re siding with Audra.

Cornered, Tucker sees two options: stall the board meeting or appeal directly to Audra. Spoiler: neither works. The board members are too conveniently busy to delay the meeting, forcing Tucker to visit Audra’s suite and beg her to take over as CEO, sparing him the humiliation of a hostile takeover. Audra, as cold as ever, refuses.

As the board meeting progresses, Tucker appears increasingly unwell. Despite his assistant fetching water, his condition worsens, prompting him to step out for air—only to collapse on his balcony, shocking Audra.

Audra rushes to his suite, convinced he’s faking it to stall the board from stripping him of Glissade. Tucker insists he’s genuinely ill. When a medical professional arrives, Audra demands proof he’s not faking, but Tucker, in frustration, orders her out.

Tucker: Faking It or Genuine Crisis?

Is Tucker really in the throes of a health crisis, or is this a desperate ploy to buy time? Given his situation, a genuine health scare seems likely. Maybe a severe panic attack or a minor heart attack—nothing so dramatic as to sideline him for weeks, but enough to serve as a wake-up call.

Yet, even a health scare may not be enough to stop the sale of Glissade. Victor usually gets what he wants, and right now, he’s gunning for the cosmetic company to challenge Jabot and Jack (Peter Bergman). However, this scare could make Tucker reevaluate his life, prompting him to make amends with those he’s wronged.

Redemption or Downfall?

A frightened Tucker might go on an apology tour, seeking forgiveness and promising change. While Audra likely won’t buy it, Devon might be more open, especially if he believes Tucker’s health crisis has set him on the right path.

But does Genoa City need a reformed, more subdued Tucker? With Adam (Mark Grossman) relatively calm these days, the show might lose some spice if another of its more colorful characters tones down.

New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS, with episodes available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day. Don’t miss out on the unfolding drama as Tucker’s saga continues!
