Chase Stokes has sparked fresh rumors about his relationship with country singer Kelsea Ballerini after posting cryptic messages on Instagram Stories. The Outer Banks actor, 33, shared the posts months after their reported split in September, and just weeks after they were seen holding hands in Dubrovnik, Croatia. Fans are now wondering if there’s any chance of them getting back together.
On November 20, Chase seemed to speak about their relationship directly. He wrote, “Don’t believe the media. I’m blocked, I did nothing wrong,” followed by a red heart and, “Sorry. I tried.” In another slide, he added, “I’m sorry for those who believed in us. It is what it is. Onwards and upwards.” Neither Chase nor Kelsea, 32, follow each other on Instagram, which only adds to the speculation.
Their split was confirmed in September by a representative for Ballerini. They had been together for nearly three years. A source said at the time, “They’re two adults who gave it their all and tried to do everything they could to make it work, but ultimately couldn’t. It happens.” Still, rumors of a reunion started when Kelsea visited Chase on the set of Outer Banks’ final season in Croatia on November 7. They were seen holding hands at a restaurant and later walking through Old Town.
