Devil May Cry Season 2 is set to debut on May 12, 2026, exclusively on Netflix.
The series is based on Capcom’s action gaming franchise, created by Adi Shankar with animation from Studio Mir. This will be the second season of the animated series that originally aired in April 2025 and consisted of eight episodes. As of April 2025, Netflix announced the renewal of the series for a second season just one week after the first season started streaming. The second season will continue in the same manner as the first and will depict the ongoing conflict between Dante and his twin brother Vergil as they are each fighting for supremacy between the human world and the world of demons.
This confirmation has been corroborated by several other trustworthy sources, including Crunchyroll, Polygon, Animation Magazine, and Anime News Network, who have all cited the same date as the projected release date (the May 12, 2026 date was announced at The Game Awards in December 2025). Both official announcements for Devil May Cry Season 2 have also included some teasers and trailers that highlight the Dante and Vergil conflict.
To date, there do not appear to be any reported delays in the projected May 12, 2026, release date of the second season (April 2026). Assuming you enjoy the style of action from the game, you can expect many more intense battles, sarcastic remarks from both Dante and Vergil, as well as more instances of them killing all that inhabit the demon world in the same manner as Season 1.
Make sure to save May 12, 2026, as a date on your calendar!
