Last Summer is getting ready for its big premiere this week, joining other anticipated weekend dramas like Would You Marry Me? and Typhoon Family. The series stars Lee Jae Wook and Choi Sung Eun in the main roles. It begins airing on November 1, 2025, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 pm KST. Fans are especially excited because Lee Jae Wook will be playing twin brothers, which adds even more interest to the show.
The drama will air on KBS2, with the first episode dropping on November 1. Viewers will get two episodes each week. The series will have 12 episodes in total, running for 6 weeks. It will also be available on Viki for global fans, Wavve for viewers in South Korea, and Netflix in selected regions.
The story takes place in Patan Village and follows Song Ha Kyung, played by Choi Sung Eun. She works as a civil servant and dreams of leaving the small town she grew up in. However, her peaceful life is shaken when a part of her past suddenly comes back.
Lee Jae Wook plays twin brothers Baek Do Ha and Baek Do Young. The two were separated after their parents divorced when they were young. The younger brother, Do Ha, moved overseas with their mother. Every summer, he travels from the United States to South Korea to stay with Do Young and their father for 21 days.
A few summers ago, Ha Kyung and Do Ha faced a difficult situation that ended their long friendship and turned them into strangers. Now Do Ha is returning to Korea for good, and their old unresolved feelings start to resurface. Adding to the mix is Seo Su Hyeok, a lawyer played by Kim Gun Woo, who finds himself tangled in their complicated emotions. Soon romance starts to bloom and chaos follows as their relationships take new and unexpected turns.
