Metal prices are showing strong yearly growth. But short term moves are mixed. Some metals are rising fast. Others are slowing down after big rallies.

Silver rises 133.19% YoY while gold slips 0.60% daily

Gold is priced at 4595.32 USD per troy ounce. It dropped 0.60% in the latest session. Weekly trend is also weak with a 2.43% fall. But the yearly gain still stands at 41.85%. This shows gold is holding value over time.

Silver is much stronger right now. It is trading at 74.63 USD per troy ounce. It gained 1.27% in a day. Even though weekly numbers are slightly negative, the yearly growth is massive at 133.19%. This makes silver one of the top performing metals.

Platinum is at 2003.10 USD per troy ounce. It rose 0.43% daily. But year to date it is still down by 3.25%. Despite that, yearly growth is very high at 108.72%.

Lithium surges 163.79% YoY while copper gains 27.58%

Lithium is one of the strongest performers. It is priced at 177000 CNY per ton. Daily gain is 1.43%. Monthly growth is strong at 8.59%. Year to date increase is 49.37%. The yearly jump stands at a huge 163.79%.

Copper is trading at 5.92 USD per pound. Daily change is almost flat at 0.03% drop. But monthly growth is solid at 6.58%. Yearly gain is 27.58%. This shows stable industrial demand.

Cobalt hydroxide is priced at 56658.73 USD per metric ton. It is slightly down by 0.02% daily. Year to date it is negative at 1.45%. But yearly growth is still high at 96.46%.

Steel rises 3.20% YTD while iron ore shows steady growth

Steel is priced at 3195 CNY per ton. It gained 1.59% in a day. Weekly and monthly trends are also positive. Year to date growth is 3.20%. Yearly gain is modest at 3.90%.

HRC steel is stronger. It is trading at 1113.08 USD per ton. It fell 1.24% daily. But year to date growth is 19.05%. Yearly rise stands at 27.35%.

Iron ore is stable. It is priced at 107.18 USD per ton. Daily change is just 0.03%. Yearly growth is 7.99%. In CNY terms, iron ore stands at 796 with a yearly gain of 11.56%.

Other metals show mixed trends. Scrap steel is up 16.14% this year. Silicon is slightly down by 2.11% YTD. Titanium has a small yearly drop of 4.95%.

Overall, the metals market is strong on a yearly basis. Battery metals like lithium are leading. Precious metals are stable. Industrial metals are showing steady but slower growth.
