The FBI has named a man called Keith Michael Lisa as the suspect in the attack at the office of acting US Attorney Alina Habba in Newark. He ran from the scene after the incident, and an arrest warrant has now been issued for him.

The FBI says Keith Michael Lisa has links to Mahwah and New York City. They are offering a reward of up to twenty five thousand dollars for any information that helps catch him and leads to his conviction.

According to the FBI, he went to the Peter W. Rodino Federal Building in Newark on November twelve while carrying a bat. Security stopped him at the entrance, so he left the bat outside and came back. After entering the building, he went toward the US Attorney’s Office and damaged government property.

The FBI shared his description. He is six feet three inches tall. He has brown and gray hair and brown eyes. They also warned that he is dangerous. Anyone with information can call the FBI at one eight hundred call FBI or submit a tip on the official FBI website.

Attorney General Pam Bondi posted online that the attacker tried to confront Alina Habba the night before and destroyed property in her office before escaping. She said she was relieved that Habba was not hurt. Bondi also said that attacks or threats against federal officers will not be tolerated. She said this kind of violence is unfortunately becoming more common.

Alina Habba responded by saying she will not be scared or silenced for doing her job. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy also said he was grateful that she was safe. He added that threats and political violence are unacceptable and have no place in America.

Trump had officially nominated Habba to become the permanent US Attorney for New Jersey in July. But her confirmation has been delayed because the two Democratic senators from the state, Cory Booker and Andy Kim, do not support her nomination. Before this role, Habba worked as Donald Trump’s personal lawyer and spokesperson on legal matters.
