Nick Hogan has posted an emotional message remembering his father, wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, just two days after the legend passed away at the age of 71.
The heartfelt tribute came on Saturday, July 26, through an Instagram post that included 20 personal photos of the father-son duo taken over the past 30 years. These included throwbacks from WWE appearances in matching “Hulkamania” shirts, gym sessions, private jet trips, and quiet family moments, offering fans a rare, tender look at their close relationship.
In the caption, 35-year-old Nick Hogan wrote,
“He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend, and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain.”
He added that he had moved back to Florida in recent years to spend more time with his dad and was grateful for the memories they made together.
How did Hulk Hogan pass away?
Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died on Thursday morning after suffering cardiac arrest at his Florida home. Emergency responders reportedly tried for 30 minutes to revive him before he was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. WWE later confirmed the tragic news in a statement to People magazine.
Hogan’s third wife, Sky Daily, also shared her grief. In her own tribute, she revealed that Hulk had been battling health issues during his final years, but that his death still came as a shock. “I really believed we were going to get through it together,” she said.
Nick’s emotional post drew a wave of support from fans and celebrities alike. Wrestler Nattie Neidhart, musician Lil Jon, and many others commented with condolences and memories of the wrestling legend.
The timing of the tribute also struck a chord, coming just a little over a month after Nick’s Father’s Day post, where he shared a throwback picture and publicly thanked Hulk for being a great dad.
As tributes continue to pour in, fans around the world are remembering Hulk Hogan not only for his larger-than-life wrestling persona but also for the deep personal relationships he had with those closest to him.
