The final episode of MobLand, a gritty crime drama on Paramount+, came out on Sunday (June 1) and wrapped up the intense, bloody fight between two crime families, the Harrigans and the Stevensons.
In this last episode, called “The Beast in Me,” the Harrigans came out on top. This happened after Harry Da Souza (played by Tom Hardy) managed to convince the Harrigans’ sneaky lawyer, O’Hara (played by Lisa Dwan), to betray Richie Stevenson (Geoff Bell). O’Hara’s double-cross led to the death of Richie and the last few men still loyal to him.
This ended the season-long war that began when Eddie (Anson Boon) killed Richie’s son, Tommy (Felix Edwards). Eddie did it because Maeve (Helen Mirren), the powerful and cold-hearted leader of the Harrigan family, told him to. The feud between the families was full of violence and loss on both sides, and even though Richie’s side is gone, it’s clear there’s still potential for more trouble to come.
Now the big question is: will MobLand come back for Season 2 to continue the story? Here’s what we know so far.
MobLand season 2: Is MobLand renewed for Season 2?
Not yet, MobLand hasn’t officially been renewed for Season 2. But the chances of it coming back are very high. Why? Because the show was a huge hit for Paramount+.
It’s produced by Guy Ritchie and turned out to be one of the most-watched series of the 2024–2025 TV season on the platform. In fact, when you look at how many people watched each show within 35 days of release, MobLand ranked third overall. It pulled in an impressive average of 11 million viewers, which is no small deal.
The only shows that did better were Landman with 15.8 million viewers, and 1923 with 11.9 million. MobLand even beat Tulsa King (which already got renewed) and Lioness, which had 8.4 and 7.8 million views, respectively.
So while nothing’s confirmed yet, with numbers like that, Season 2 is looking very likely.
MobLand season 2 release date
It’s tough to predict exactly when Season 2 of MobLand might come out, and fans should probably prepare for a bit of a wait. One big reason? The show features a large cast packed with major stars, and trying to coordinate their schedules is no small task.
If we had to guess, the earliest we might see Season 2 would be sometime in 2027, but that’s just speculation for now. Nothing official has been announced about a release timeline.
As always, we’ll keep this page updated with any new information as soon as it’s available.
Will there be a MobLand Season 2?
MobLand hasn’t officially been renewed for Season 2 yet. There’s no green light at the moment, but as soon as any news comes out about the future of the show, we’ll update you.
That said, there are strong indications that more is to come. Jez Butterworth, the show’s executive producer and writer, told the New York Post that he hopes the show continues for as long as it keeps audiences “fascinated, delighted, and stimulated.” Basically, as long as people are hooked, he’s all in for making more.
Tom Hardy, who stars in the series, also hinted at more to come. He told The Hollywood Reporter that “the plan is definitely to see more seasons.” So while nothing’s set in stone yet, the people behind MobLand clearly want to keep the story going, and now it’s just a matter of time.4

Where did MobLand Season 1 leave off?
The MobLand Season 1 finale packed in a ton of twists and drama. The Harrigans’ plan to take down Richie Stevenson finally worked, and Richie was eliminated. But even though that battle ended, a whole new set of problems exploded.
Conrad and Maeve landed in prison thanks to a clever setup by Alice (Emily Barber) and Colin, who framed them. But Kevin and Harry found enough evidence to clear their names, though Kevin, being petty, decided to let them sit in jail for another week just to get under their skin.
Tensions in the Harrigan family got even messier when Kevin told his father he planned to take over the family business. Meanwhile, Eddie got hit with a bombshell from Maeve: Kevin isn’t his real dad, Conrad is. That news pushed Eddie over the edge, and he lashed out violently at his mother, Bella.
Harry, on the other hand, was stuck in his own personal chaos. Kat gave him an ultimatum: leave the Harrigans and work for her instead. When Harry refused, Kat didn’t scream or threaten, she just made it clear, in a quiet but chilling way, that she now considers him an enemy.
And just when Harry thought things couldn’t get worse, his wife, Jan, furious over the danger he’d dragged them into, snapped during an argument and accidentally stabbed him in the torso. He’ll probably survive, but it’s unclear what kind of damage Kat might do now that Harry’s crossed her.
Season 1 may be over, but clearly, the real storm is just beginning.
