Michelle Williams had quite the unpleasant surprise during a flight when a fellow first-class passenger’s foot made its way too close to her seat. On Saturday, April 5, the Destiny’s Child alum took to social media, sharing a photo of the unexpected intrusion, showing a foot peeking out in the corner of her window seat. She captioned the post with, “I PROMISE YOU BETTA GETCHO FOOT FROM ME!!!” and confessed that she was posting it while on the flight, crying “real tears.”

Williams didn’t hold back in the comments either, poking fun at the audacity of the whole situation. She joked about the first-class cabin experience, writing, “A lot of AUDACITY resides in that booking class……. OBVIOUSLY!! #seat3F the f is for feet,” adding some humor to the awkward moment. In another comment, she humorously referenced the situation with a shout-out to the song Nasty Work by Yah Yah & Domo, saying it perfectly captured her feelings.

But she wasn’t done yet. After the flight, Williams shared a follow-up video, dramatically singing, “I made it out. I made it out alright,” as she recapped the experience. The Broadway singer hit a high note as she recalled her close call, making light of how she was nearly taken out by the wayward foot. She explained how she initially saw something in her peripheral vision and was stunned to realize it was a person’s foot.

Despite the initial shock, Williams was quick to give credit where it was due. She complimented the foot, noting that it was “conditioned” and “moisturized,” though she still found it invasive. She even speculated that the passenger might have needed to stretch during the flight, which she attributed to his actions.

Although the incident was clearly unsettling for her, Williams was quick to recall that the passenger was friendly, helping her retrieve her bag from the overhead bin. Still, she was relieved to make it through the flight and be able to laugh about it afterward. “I lived to tell the tale,” she said, adding that she needed a shower to scrub the experience off her mind. Wrapping up the ordeal, she confirmed, “All is well, I made it back to New York City.”
