He made his debut in the 2014 off-Broadway revival of King Lear, directed by Emmy and Tony winner John Lithgow. From there, he continued to rise, playing Troilus in Shakespeare in the Park’s Troilus and Cressida in 2016. Burnap also starred opposite Andrew Garfield in Under the Banner of Heaven, an FX series, portraying Joseph Smith. His role as Father McElvoy in another Apple TV+ series, Dear Edward, further showcased his ability to work alongside heavy-hitting talent like Connie Britton and Colin O’Brien.
