Actor Jake Axelrod has passed away at the age of 93.
His death was confirmed by his representative Jennifer Garland, which was reported by Entertainment Tonight and Hollywood Reporter, saying that he died of natural causes in Los Angeles on November 28.
“I had the pleasure of spending a lot of time with him in his last years, as he had no immediate family,” said Garland in a statement. She added that they spend majority of their “time outdoor, where Jack loved to sketch, read news articles and recite Shakespeare sonnets.”
The late actor is best known for his roles in General Hospital and Grey’s Anatomy. He was a licensed architect before his started taking acting course at the University of California, Berkeley, as per his profile on IMDB.
Axelrod went on to feature in numerous TV series and movies throughout his career as an actor. His filmography includes, Hancock, Labor Pains, Little Fockers, Fred & Vinnie, Super 8, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
