Sajja joined the cast of “Married to Medicine” in its eighth season in 2021 as a fashion blogger and influencer married to oculofacial plastic surgeon Dr. Kiran Sajja. During her time on the show, Sajja had memorable moments, including an incident where her home was burglarized during the ninth season. She was also involved in a feud with fellow castmate Toya over cheating allegations, which brewed throughout the season.
In March 2023, Sajja announced her departure from the show, citing a desire to focus on projects outside of the series. She clarified that although she wouldn’t be on screen for the time being, her story would continue, whether filmed or not, and thanked fans for their support.
Rumors emerged regarding her exit, suggesting that she was fired by Bravo to make way for Phaedra Parks, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” known for her popularity among Bravo fans. Parks reportedly requested a substantial salary to join the tenth season of “Married to Medicine,” leading to speculation that cast members like Sajja were let go to accommodate Parks’ entrance into the show.
While Sajja partially confirmed the rumors in a statement, stating that they were only partly true, Parks eventually joined the cast of “Married to Medicine” for season ten as a full-time member, supporting the notion that Sajja might have been let go to make room for Parks.
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, another physician who joined “Married to Medicine” in its fifth season in 2017, also departed the show alongside Sajja ahead of season ten, with speculation suggesting that their exits were to facilitate Parks’ casting.
Following her departure, Sajja has continued life as a busy mother and wife, sharing updates about her travels and seemingly amicable interactions with former castmate Toya.
