Recently, the 48-year-old tied the knot again in a private ceremony in Los Angeles after several months of speculations regarding his relationship with Rita Ora.
The rumors of Waititi and Ora’s secret marriage surfaced in late 2021, gaining traction until the couple officially exchanged vows in the fall of 2022. Initially acquainted in 2018, they remained friends for several years before deciding to explore a romantic relationship in 2021. Their union was a constant subject in the media, leading up to their much-anticipated wedding.
Ora proposed to Waititi in the summer of 2022, and shortly after, they were married at their Los Angeles home, surrounded by a close-knit group of friends and family, including Waititi’s longtime friend Jemaine Clement, who made the journey from New Zealand for the celebration. Prior to Rita Ora, Waititi was previously married to New Zealand film producer Chelsea Winstanley from 2011 to 2018. They have two daughters together, both of whom attended Waititi and Ora’s wedding ceremony.
