Shinde, speaking to reporters, emphasized the importance of unity within the alliance, stating, "We have a meeting scheduled with Amit Shah, and decisions will be made in that meeting. Our focus remains on serving the people of Maharashtra through the Mahayuti alliance."
While Shinde has received support from several Shiv Sena leaders to continue as chief minister, the final decision will be taken in consultation with the BJP and NCP leadership. Both Devendra Fadnavis of the BJP and Shinde are seen as strong contenders for the post.
Speaking to reporters, Shinde shared, “I am content with the work we have achieved in the last 2.5 years. Yesterday, I spoke with Prime Minister Modi and conveyed that whatever decision he makes, we will accept it. I also called Home Minister Shah and assured him of my support for their decision.”
