8 killed at Bandarban shooting in Bangladesh

Eight people have reportedly been killed in a shooting between 2 rival groups in Bandarban.

Dhaka, Apr 7: Eight people have been killed in a shooting between two rival groups in Rowangchhari upazila of Bandarban.

Rowangchhari Police Station officer in-charge Abdul Mannan confirmed the matter to UNI.

He said police, being informed by locals, recovered the bodies of eight people from Khamtang Para area on Friday afternoon.

Details of the groups involved in the firing could not be known yet, he added.

However, Kuki-Chin National Front revealed the names of seven dead in the incident on its Facebook page.

They are Bhan Du Bom, Sang Khum, San Fir Thang Bom, Boy Rem Bom, Zahim Bom, Lal Lian Nak Bom and Lal Tha Zar Bom, residents of Khamtang Para.
