The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) on Saturday has filed a case against Megha Engineering and Infrastructure, along with nearly 8 officers from NMDC Iron and Steel Plant, Ministry of Steel. The case is registered by CBI in relation to an alleged corruption in execution of a Rs 315 crore project for NISP.
“The CBI has registered a case against Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd, along with eight officers from NMDC Iron and Steel Plant, Ministry of Steel, regarding alleged corruption in the execution of a Rs 315 crores project for NISP,” news agency ANI tweeted on Saturday.
Megha Engineering and Infrastructure was among the top and biggest donors in the list released for electoral bond donors.
MEIL, popularly known as Megha, made its first donation in the month of April in 2019, the last one came in during October 2023, as per the data shared by Election Commission of India. The company purchased bonds worth Rs 966 crore between 2019 and 2023, data showed.
