The Bank Nifty closed at 56,950.80, up 931 points or 1.66%, and the Midcap Nifty ended at 13,209.50, rising 267.20 points or 2.06%.

Several stocks in the Nifty 50 index recorded gains during the session, led by financial, automobile, and aviation companies.

Shriram Finance emerged as the top gainer in the index. The stock closed at ₹1,067.0, rising ₹79.80 or 8.1%.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles ended the session at ₹345.1, up ₹13.05 or 3.9%.

Eicher Motors also gained 3.9%, closing at ₹7,550.0, higher by ₹284.00.

Mahindra & Mahindra closed at ₹3,300.0, advancing ₹112.40 or 3.5%.

InterGlobe Aviation finished the day at ₹4,385.5, up ₹148.80 or 3.5%.

Asian Paints rose 2.9% to close at ₹2,284.0, gaining ₹63.20.

Maruti Suzuki India ended at ₹13,872.0, increasing ₹364.00 or 2.7%.

ICICI Bank closed at ₹1,312.3, up ₹33.90 or 2.7%.

Grasim Industries finished at ₹2,750.0, gaining ₹68.80 or 2.6%.

SBI Life Insurance Company closed at ₹1,961.3, rising ₹48.80 or 2.6%.
