The film will be directed by Dangal fams director Nitesh Tiwari. There were reports that Nitesh Tiwari has cast Mahesh Babu in the role of Lord Ram in this mega-budget project.
Although Mahesh Babu has already assigned his dates to director Rajamouli. Rajamouli will commence his next film with actor Mahesh Babu after RRR is over. In such a condition, he has composed his mind to give up Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. After not listening from Mahesh Babu, the makers have decided to sign Ranbir Kapoor.
According to the latest report of Peepingmoon, Nitesh Tiwari himself has proposed Ranbir Kapoor to play the role of Lord Ram in Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor, who is busy shooting for Luv Ranjan’s next film, can soon make a big decision regarding this film.
If Ranbir Kapoor gives the green signal to the film, he will act as the protagonist with Hrithik Roshan, who will play Ravana in the Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor is also very enthusiastic about this role and can take the narration of the film soon. He has not yet given a green signal to Nitesh Kumar but he is finding this project quite exciting. Deepika will be seen as Sita in the film, with whom Ranbir’s pairing has always been a hit.
