Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for another big-screen action entertainer with Gunmaaster G9, which is now reportedly targeting a Dussehra 2026 theatrical release. According to the latest industry buzz, producer Deepak Mukut is considering October 9 or October 16 as the film’s potential release date, aiming to capitalize on the festive holiday season.

Directed by Aditya Datt, the film has already created excitement among Bollywood fans because it reunites the iconic Aashiq Banaya Aapne trio of Emraan Hashmi, Aditya Datt and music composer Himesh Reshammiya after nearly two decades. Their 2005 romantic thriller became a cult favourite, particularly for its chartbuster soundtrack and Emraan’s rising popularity during the era.

Apart from Emraan Hashmi, Gunmaaster G9 also stars Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana in key roles. Reports suggest the film will blend stylized action, emotional drama and commercial entertainment elements aimed at mass audiences.

The title itself has generated curiosity online, with many fans speculating that the project could pay tribute to retro Bollywood spy-action cinema while presenting a modern high-energy narrative. Early promotional posters hint at a gritty action-oriented avatar for Emraan Hashmi, who has recently been experimenting with darker and more intense roles.

The film is being produced under Soham Rockstar Entertainment and is expected to begin a major promotional campaign later this year. Fans are especially excited about the soundtrack, as Himesh Reshammiya’s reunion with Emraan Hashmi has already sparked nostalgia across social media platforms.

With an established creative team and a festive release window, Gunmaaster G9 is already emerging as one of the most awaited Bollywood action entertainers of 2026.
