The highly awaited Ponniyin Selvan 2 has a new poster, which actor Aishwarya Rai shared on Instagram. It is the follow-up to Mani Ratnam’s box office-dominating Ponniyin Selvan 1 movie. On Wednesday, the trailer for the following chapter is expected to be released.
On April 28, 2023, the Ponniyin Selvan 2 movie, directed by Mani Ratnam, will open in theatres all over the world. The historical drama is based on the same-titled 1955 Tamil novel by Kalki Krishnamurthy, which tells the tale of Arulmozhivarman, one of the most influential rulers in the south before he became Rajaraja Chola I, the great Chola emperor.
The producers have launched a new poster for the movie while fans have been waiting for information about it.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who plays two characters in the series, just revealed a brand-new poster for the film on her Instagram account. Vikram is shown pensively gazing into the distance while Aishwarya lights some diyas. Aishwarya shared the poster with the caption, “Fire in their eyes. Love in their hearts. Blood on their swords. The film’s makers provided a sneak preview of Ponniyin Selvan 2 in December of last year. We catch a peek of Jayam Ravi, Vikram, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the PS 2 teaser. The tone and atmosphere of the follow-up are remarkably similar to the previous installment, which was a huge success on a global scale.

In the meanwhile, the Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer will be unveiled in Chennai by the production team. According to sources, the music release would come after it. The whole cast—including Aishwarya—will attend the evening function. Also, Kamal Haasan will be present. At the launch event, he will be a special guest.
