JSW Steel records nearly five-fold increase in Q3 profit amid robust domestic demand

JSW Steel, India’s largest steelmaker by capacity, announced a substantial nearly five-fold rise in third-quarter profit on Thursday, attributing the surge to robust domestic demand.

The consolidated net profit surged to 24.15 billion rupees ($290.7 million) for the quarter ended December 31, a significant increase from 4.90 billion rupees reported a year earlier. The positive financial results underscore the resilience and adaptability of JSW Steel in navigating market dynamics while meeting the demands of the domestic steel industry.
