Vodafone Idea Limited has announced a significant change in its leadership structure, with taking over as the Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, effective from 5th May 2026. This decision was approved by the company’s Board of Directors.

The announcement also includes the transition of , who has stepped down from his role as the Non-Executive Chairman. Takkar will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Director and has been appointed as the Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, also effective from 5th May 2026.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, who is already a Non-Executive Director of , brings a wealth of experience to his new role as Chairman. His appointment is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership team and drive strategic initiatives.

Ravinder Takkar’s new role as Vice Chairman will allow him to continue contributing to the company’s strategic direction while providing support to the newly appointed Chairman.

Both Birla and Takkar are not related to any other directors of the company, and their appointments do not involve any new relationships or changes in the company’s existing directorial structure.
