The giant started a hybrid workweek wherein the personnel needs to work for three days from the office and two days from, “wherever they work best”.

Google has withheld its employees to return to the office spaces until January 2022. The notion is to standby till January 10, 2022, pertaining to the pandemic conditions, and thereby derive a conclusion to whether permit the employees to get back into office or not. Moreover, the staff will be duly informed in advance before 30 days to avoid ambiguity.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai emailed the employees regarding the ramifications of the COVID-19 crisis, by mentioning it as “a humbling challenge for all of us,” and the conditions, “highly variable”. However, as per the company guidelines, employee attendance is not mandatory and is up to the interest and willingness of the personnel. This will continue till the next year of 2022. Google promoted the work-from-home strategy that enabled its employees to work effortlessly at their respective locations.
