Founder of Naturals ice-cream Raghunandan Kamath passes away at 70

The founder of one of the top ice cream brands in India, Natural Ice Cream, Raghunandan Srinivas Kamath, passed away at the age of 70.

The ice cream man of Indian breathed his last at Mumbai’s H N Reliance Foundation Hospital on the evening of May 17. The reports have suggested that he passed away following a brief illness.


He is survived by his two sons and wife.

As per News18, many people look up to Kamath, who serves as an inspiration to them. He hailed from a modest background, endured many struggles to build one of the largest empires in the nation, valued at over Rs. 400 crore.

He started his career in Mulki, a town in Mangalore, Karnataka, where he established Naturals Ice Cream, a firm which is today valued at roughly Rs. 400 crore and is popular throughout the country and the ice-cream industry.
