Clean Science and Technology Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Clean Fino-Chem Limited (CFCL), has commenced commercial production of Hydroquinone (HQ) and Catechol at its dedicated production block. The commercial operations began on Thursday, December 18, 2025, in line with the company’s disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

With this development, Clean Science strengthens its position as a key domestic manufacturer of Hydroquinone and Catechol. The start of local production is expected to support import substitution and cater to growing domestic demand for these critical specialty chemicals. Hydroquinone and Catechol are widely used across performance chemicals, pharmaceuticals, polymers, and other downstream applications, making their indigenous production strategically important.

The commercialization of Hydroquinone further enhances Clean Science’s performance chemicals portfolio. It creates additional cross-selling opportunities with existing MEHQ customers and is also expected to support the company’s TBHQ business by strengthening its overall value proposition in antioxidant and performance-related applications.

Catechol produced at the facility will be primarily used for captive consumption in the manufacture of Guaiacol and Veratrole, enabling better integration across the value chain. This captive utilization is expected to improve operational efficiencies and reduce dependence on external sourcing for key intermediates.
