Airfloa Rail Technology Limited has announced that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Janatics Industrial Automation Private Limited for the development and supply of Automatic Door Systems for railway applications. This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen Airfloa’s presence in advanced railway subsystems that are increasingly becoming standard across modern rail coaches.
The MoU covers the design and supply of Automatic Door Systems for next-generation railway coaches, including platforms such as Freight EMU and Vande Bharat trains. These platforms demand high levels of automation, safety, and reliability, making advanced door systems a critical component in contemporary rolling stock design. Through this collaboration, both companies intend to align their technical expertise with evolving railway requirements in India.
As part of the agreement, the product portfolio under development includes double leaf plug doors, automatic single leaf plug doors, pocket sliding doors, and automatic fire barrier doors. These door systems are essential for ensuring passenger safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with modern railway standards, particularly in high-speed and premium train segments.
Under the terms of the MoU, Airfloa Rail Technology will lead tender participation, customer engagement, and overall project execution. This reinforces Airfloa’s role as the primary interface with railway authorities and customers, while Janatics Industrial Automation will support the initiative through its experience in automation technologies and system integration.
