Astral Limited’s wholly owned subsidiary, Al-Aziz Plastics Private Limited, has been granted a patent by the Government of India’s Patent Office for its innovative ‘Multiport Water Outlet’. The patent, numbered 583449, is valid for a term of 20 years starting from 1st November 2021, as per the Patents Act, 1970.
The Multiport Saddle, as the invention is known, offers multiple household connections from a single tapping point. It features flexible outlet configurations and guarantees equal distribution, with the option of an inbuilt flow-control valve. Designed to be compatible with standard ferrules and fittings, the Multiport Saddle is engineered to handle structural loads, allowing for faster installation, reduced excavation, and minimal disruption.
This lightweight and cost-efficient solution is expected to enhance the longevity of main pipes and significantly shorten project timelines, offering a practical advantage in household water distribution systems.
