Astec Lifesciences shares witnessed sharp volatility in Monday’s trading session, with the stock swinging nearly 22% between its intraday high and low amid heavy investor activity.

The stock opened at ₹666 and touched an intraday low of ₹647.95 before surging to a high of ₹797 during the session, reflecting a swing of over 22%. By 2:49 PM, the stock was trading 13.94% higher at ₹770.

Trading volumes also remained elevated, with over 21.25 lakh shares changing hands during the session. The stock’s average traded price stood at ₹766.56.

The counter saw strong buying interest during the latter half of the session, with total buy quantity standing at 68% compared to 32% sell quantity, according to market data.

Astec Lifesciences, a part of the Godrej Group, operates in the agrochemical and active ingredients segment and manufactures fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and pharmaceutical intermediates.

The stock remains below its 52-week high of ₹988.51, while the 52-week low stands at ₹513.40.
