Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited has emerged as the lowest bidder (L-1) for a major railway infrastructure project awarded by Northeast Frontier Railway, strengthening its order book in the transportation infrastructure segment.
In a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company informed exchanges that it has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) in lieu of Level Crossing No. NC-5 (Manned). The project is located at Km 7/9–8/0 between Rangapani and New Jalpaiguri stations in the New Jalpaiguri–Aluabari section.
The total value of the contract stands at ₹46.62 crore, making it a significant domestic order for Brahmaputra Infrastructure. The project has been awarded by NFR HQ-ENGG / Northeast Frontier Railway and is to be executed within a period of 18 months from the date of award.
The scope of work involves the construction of a road over bridge to replace an existing manned level crossing, a move aimed at improving rail and road safety while easing traffic congestion in the region. Such projects are considered critical for enhancing railway operational efficiency and reducing accident risks at level crossings.
The company clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the awarding authority. It was also confirmed that the contract does not fall under related-party transactions.
