SPML Infra Limited, one of India’s established players in the water infrastructure space, has received a new project worth ₹207.38 crore (including GST) under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Rajasthan. The contract has been awarded in joint venture with Shree Hari Infraprojects Private Limited by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Jhalawar. This project, linked to the Nonera Water Supply initiative, focuses on strengthening and modernising the drinking water network across the Kota and Bundi region.
The scope of work is extensive, covering construction, testing and commissioning of critical water supply assets, followed by ten years of operations and maintenance. The plan includes developing three intake wells and three water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 118 MLD. Along with these, the company will set up clear water reservoirs with a total storage volume of 16.1 million litres.
Another major part of the project involves laying around 52.6 kilometres of pipelines ranging from 600 mm to 1300 mm in diameter. The new system will be integrated with PLC and SCADA technologies, enabling better monitoring, automation and reliability. Once operational, this improved infrastructure is expected to deliver functional tap water connections under JJM to more than 1.03 million people living in the region.
