ACME Solar Holdings Limited (“ACME Solar”) has taken a major step forward in its renewable energy expansion, signing a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with SECI Limited for its 200 MW solar project integrated with a 100 MW/400 MWh Energy Storage System (ESS). The agreement was finalized on 24 November 2025 at an approved tariff of ₹3.42 per unit, following the Central Regulator’s tariff adoption and State Regulator’s approval for power procurement.

This latest PPA comes after SECI had awarded ACME Solar a cumulative capacity of 350 MW in July 2024, out of which 150 MW was already tied under a PPA in October 2024. With the new agreement, the full 350 MW capacity is now secured under PPAs, marking an important implementation milestone for the company.

The project includes strict performance parameters, requiring ACME Solar to deliver power at an annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 25–27% during solar hours. Additionally, the company must ensure minimum ESS-backed availability of 70% each month and 85% annually during peak evening hours. The project is slated for commissioning by June 2027, supported by the final grant of connectivity already in place for ACME Solar.

With this development, ACME Solar has signed PPAs for 800 MW of contracted capacity, including 2,320 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity in the current financial year alone. This milestone lifts the company’s total PPA-tied portfolio to 5,380 MW, strengthening its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy and storage developers.
