Ashok Leyland, one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, has reported its sales figures for September 2025, showing robust growth across both domestic and international markets.

Domestic Sales Performance
In the domestic market, the company recorded a total of 17,209 vehicles sold in September 2025, marking a 7% increase compared to September 2024. The growth was driven by a strong performance in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segment, which saw sales rise 15% year-on-year to 6,710 units.

For the Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) segment, domestic truck sales increased 5% to 8,862 units, while bus sales recorded a slight decline of 9% to 1,637 units. Overall, the M&HCV segment achieved 10,499 units sold, reflecting a 3% year-on-year growth.

Cumulatively for the year, domestic vehicle sales stood at 85,559 units, representing a 2% increase over the same period last year.

Combined Domestic and Export Sales
Including exports, Ashok Leyland reported total sales of 18,813 vehicles in September 2025, up 9% from 17,233 units in September 2024. Trucks and buses in the M&HCV segment recorded combined sales of 11,808 units, showing 7% growth compared to last year. Notably, bus exports contributed significantly, with cumulative M&HCV bus sales increasing 19% year-on-year to 15,794 units.

The LCV segment also demonstrated steady performance with 7,005 units sold, up 14% from September 2024.

Cumulative total sales, including domestic and exports, reached 93,354 units, reflecting a 4% growth over the corresponding period in 2024.
