Global Offshore Services Ltd has announced the acquisition of a new DP2, FIFI1 Anchor Handling Tug cum Supply Vessel (AHTSV), as per a regulatory filing submitted to the BSE on June 4, 2025. The acquisition marks a strategic expansion of the company’s fleet, enhancing its offshore support capabilities.
In its official communication, the company stated that this move aligns with its ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the offshore logistics and maritime services sector. The newly acquired AHTSV is expected to support anchor handling, supply runs, and emergency response operations for offshore oil rigs and platforms.
The vessel, equipped with Dynamic Positioning (DP2) technology and Firefighting Capability 1 (FIFI1), offers improved maneuverability and advanced safety standards, making it suitable for high-demand offshore operations.
Global Offshore Services is engaged in providing offshore support services to exploration and production companies. The company has not disclosed the financial details of the acquisition.
