Shares of Spandana Sphoorty Financial Ltd plunged 5.66% to ₹273.50 in early trade on June 2 following a disappointing Q4FY25 performance. The company reported a net loss of ₹434.3 crore in the March quarter, compared to a profit of ₹128.6 crore in the same period last year.
Revenue from operations dropped sharply by 38% YoY to ₹414.8 crore, while EBITDA turned negative at ₹389 crore, reflecting persistent operational stress. The company’s AUM declined 43% YoY to ₹6,819 crore, with annual disbursements down 48% to ₹5,605 crore.
Asset quality weakened, with Gross NPA rising to 5.63% from 4.85% in the previous quarter, and Net NPA increasing to 1.19%. Net interest income also fell 5% YoY to ₹1,228 crore for FY25, and yield declined by 173 basis points to 22.5%.
With total income down 3% and PPOP dropping 35% to ₹608 crore, the company ended FY25 with a net loss of ₹1,035 crore.
