This award honours companies demonstrating leadership in sustainability through impactful, employee-driven initiatives. KSB’s commitment to integrating sustainability into its core business strategies has contributed to long-term economic and environmental value.
The company has also introduced the Interplant Sustainability Challenger Award, promoting sustainability excellence across its manufacturing plants. This internal initiative recognises plants demonstrating outstanding performance in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, water conservation, and training man-days. The programme fosters innovation, cross-learning, and continuous improvement in ESG performance across operations.
KSB celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a focus on the theme “#BeatPlasticPollution,” driving awareness and engagement initiatives to inspire employees to reduce plastic use and adopt circular practices. Activities included a vibrant rangoli and posters promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices, as well as an Environment Protection Pledge Ceremony where employees reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability.
The company conducted a tree plantation drive and a photography competition on the theme “Beauty of Biodiversity,” encouraging employees to appreciate nature and fostering greater ecological awareness. Additionally, the “Dark Hour” initiative saw employees switching off lights and non-essential equipment to promote energy conservation.
KSB’s “Zero Food Waste” campaign encouraged responsible consumption and minimised food wastage. The company remains committed to workplace safety, driven by a robust Occupational Health & Safety Management System aligned with ISO 45001:2018. Safety is reinforced through regular training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency preparedness drills.
KSB has obtained reasonable assurance for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and limited assurance for Scope 3 emissions. The company achieved “Zero Liquid Discharge” certification for its Chinchwad, Foundry, and Coimbatore plants and “Zero Waste to Landfill” certification for its Pimpri, Chinchwad, Shirwal, Sinner, and Foundry plants.
KSB’s ESG goals include a 30% reduction in GHG emissions by 2025, 40% green energy generation, and a 6% reduction in fresh water consumption. The company aims for 80% of preferred suppliers to be assessed for sustainability performance and 80% ESG awareness training completion by 2025.
