Tanfac Industries Limited has entered into a long-term supply agreement with Blue Star Limited for the supply of key fluorinated products, marking a strategic step in strengthening its presence in the specialty chemicals segment.
According to the company’s exchange filing dated April 29, 2026, the agreement is estimated to have an annual value of around ₹61 crore. The contract is domestic in nature and is structured as a long-term arrangement with an indefinite tenure, subject to a mutual termination clause.
The deal involves supplying fluorinated products as per agreed specifications to Blue Star, a leading player in air conditioning and commercial refrigeration systems. These products are critical inputs in HVAC systems, particularly in refrigerants and related applications, which continue to see steady demand growth driven by rising urbanisation and climate control needs.
The agreement is expected to provide revenue visibility for Tanfac and strengthen its customer base with a large OEM. Long-term contracts of this nature typically help specialty chemical manufacturers optimise capacity utilisation while ensuring steady cash flows.
From a sectoral perspective, fluorinated chemicals are gaining importance across industries such as refrigeration, electronics, and pharmaceuticals, with increasing focus on energy-efficient and environmentally compliant solutions. Partnerships with established OEMs like Blue Star can help suppliers like Tanfac scale volumes and deepen market penetration.
While the company has not disclosed its total order book, such recurring supply contracts contribute to stable earnings streams and reduce volatility typically associated with commodity-linked chemical businesses.
