HBL Engineering Limited (formerly HBL Power Systems) has received a major boost in its railway signaling business after being awarded five Letters of Acceptance (LoAs) from Central Railway for the implementation of the Kavach automatic train protection system. The total value of the contracts stands at Rs 762.56 crore (inclusive of 18% GST).

According to the regulatory filing dated March 31, 2025, the scope of the project includes installation of Kavach across 413 railway stations, covering approximately 3,900 kilometers of rail network. Each contract is scheduled for completion within 18 months.

With this development, the total value of Kavach-related contracts awarded to HBL in FY25 has now reached an impressive Rs 3,618 crore.
