Persistent Systems announced a strategic partnership with Kong to help enterprises securely scale artificial intelligence deployments across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
The company said the collaboration will focus on building a governed connectivity layer across APIs, data pipelines, AI models, and enterprise systems, enabling organizations to move AI projects from experimentation into production more efficiently.
Under the partnership, Persistent will act as Kong’s global systems integration partner, combining its engineering-led capabilities with Kong’s API and AI connectivity platform.
The companies stated that enterprises increasingly face challenges around governance, scalability, security, and operational complexity as AI systems expand. The partnership aims to address these issues through policy-driven safeguards, centralized access management, observability tools, and AI governance frameworks.
Persistent said the collaboration would also support operationalization of GenAI and agentic AI workflows, including Model Context Protocol-based architectures, with built-in security and compliance controls.
Commenting on the partnership, Anand Krishnan, Executive Vice President at Persistent, said enterprise AI leadership would depend on how effectively organizations govern intelligence flow across systems and APIs.
Kong’s Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development, Ken Kim, said APIs are becoming critical infrastructure for connecting AI models, services and enterprise data across complex environments.
Persistent Systems currently operates across digital engineering, cloud, data analytics, intelligent automation and enterprise modernization services, with over 27,500 employees across 21 countries.
