Kim Kardashian recently disclosed a surprising detail about her past marriage to Kris Humphries, revealing that he contributed only a fifth of the cost of her engagement ring. The revelation came during the latest episode of The Kardashians, which aired on Thursday, March 13.
During the episode, Kim, 44, reflected on the engagement rings from her three marriages. She quipped about potentially wearing diamonds again and recalled the different cuts of her rings. She mentioned that her first ring from Damon Thomas was a 14-carat cushion cut. Kim married Thomas at 19, but the couple divorced in 2003 after three years together.
Speaking about her second engagement ring, Kim noted that she had to return it to Humphries as part of their divorce. “I didn’t keep it. I was pregnant with North, still married to him, and to get divorced, he said I had to give him the ring. The ring that I bought. He contributed a fifth,” she stated. Kim and Humphries got engaged in 2011, married the same year, but separated after just 72 days. Their divorce was finalized in 2013.
Kim later married Kanye West in 2014, welcoming four children together. She revealed that she had planned to pass her engagement ring from West to their daughter North. After her divorce from Kanye, finalized in 2022, Kim expressed hesitation about remarrying.
