Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva took the box office by storm upon its release in 2022. The film concluded with a thrilling tease for it sequel, Brahmastra: Part Two – Dev, leaving audiences eager for more. Since then, the fans have been eager for any update regarding the sequel. Now, excitement has soared aas Ranbir recently shared a major update as he revealed that the director, Ayan Mukerji, is set to kickstart pre-production for the much awaited next chapter after wrapping War 2.
During a meet-and-greet session with the paparazzi on Thursday, the actor, who was joined by his wife, Alia, said, “Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time; the entire story of Brahmastra. As you guys know he is currently working on War 2, once the film releases he is going to start the pre-production of Brahmastra 2.”
Further assuring the fans over Brahmastra 2 plans, the Animal star noted that they haven’t really announced much about it, but they can expect the “interesting announcements” to be made soon.
Brashmastra: Part One – Shiva, released in 2022, was the first installment of a planned trilogy, setting the stage for a larger cinematic universe inspired by Indian mythology. Apart from the actor couple, the film also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in key roles.
