Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is slowly establishing itself as a strong competitor for the political scenario in Tamil Nadu. It is being floated by Thalapathy Vijay as part of his future aspirations, and is going to contest in the upcoming elections from all the constituencies across the state and is making all the right moves.

On the actor’s advice, the party’s chief secretary was asked to organize an Iftar party for the Muslim brethren in Chennai. The event was highly focused and covered by media channels as Vijay himself had graced the occasion. While many welcomed his gesture with open mind, his voluntary act of organizing an event for the community sparked debate about his political aspirations.

Post the Iftar party, the actor extended wishes for the International Women’s Day. In a video message, the Jana Nayagan actor, addressing all the mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends, he said, “I extend my heartfelt Women’s Day wishes. Happiness comes only when there is safety. But when there is no safety, there is no real happiness. I understand how you feel. What can we do? We all chose this government together. But only now do we realise how they have deceived us.”
