Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to move out of his iconic residence, Mannat, temporarily to an apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra. The move comes as the family is preparing for the extensive renovation and expansion on their sea-facing Grade III heritage home, which has long been a tourist spot, mainly because of King Khan.
Mannat, which has been acquired by SRK and wife Gauri Khan in 2001, is more than just a house, as it symbolizes their joint dream of building a home that reflects their aspirations and success. Over the years, Gauri, who is an interior designer, has meticulously transformed the space into a lavish and aesthetically curated abode.
Last year, in November, she sought permission from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) to add two additional floors to Mannat.
The expansion is expected to take nearly two years, during which the Khans will relocate to Pali Hill. As per a report in Hindustan Times, SRK’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment has entered into a leave and license agreement with children of Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukhe, for four floors in the luxury residential complex Puja Casa.
While the space might not compensate the expanse of Mannat, but it has been selected considering the needs of the family, including the superstar’s security and staff.
