Taapsee Pannu has once shown her grace while addressing past criticism, by choosing dignity over retaliation. Years after being called “sasti copy” by Kangana Ranaut’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, the actress has maintained her stance of not demeaning others, despite of being provoked.

During a recent chat with ABP News, Taapsee reflected on her past controversy, and with humility, she said, “Maybe I am ‘sasti’ because I don’t get paid as much as Kangana Ranaut. If being called a copy of such a talented actress is the case, I am okay with it.”

She further highlighted that the way a person speaks defines their personality, and the kind of words one uses reflects their upbringing. “I can never say such things about any woman who has carved her own journey,” she added.

Beyond addressing past remarks, the actress also spoke about the increasing influence of social media metrics on casting decisions and brand endorsements. Taapsee explained that one must not be judged merely on their social media presence, and should be only considered on the basis on their talent. She emphasized that the makers need to give talent and personality much importance, compared to social media followers.
