Torrent Power Limited has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Private Limited (TSU2), has received a significant milestone.

On January 30, 2025, TSU2 received a certificate from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) confirming the commissioning of its full 300 MW capacity. The certificate, dated January 24, 2025, officially acknowledges that the full capacity was commissioned as of December 15, 2024.

In the exchanger filing, the company shared, “Torrent Saurya Urja 2 Private Limited (“TSU2”), Wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has received Certificate dated January 24, 2025 from Gujarat Energy Development Agency certifying Commissioning of full capacity of 300 MW w.e.f. December 15, 2024.”

This achievement marks a major step forward for Torrent Power in contributing to India’s renewable energy sector. The 300 MW capacity is part of TSU2’s commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions and supporting the country’s clean energy transition.

In the meantime, Torrent Power shares closed today at ₹1,450.40, down from an opening of ₹1,465.00. The stock reached a high of ₹1,485.00 and a low of ₹1,441.50 during the session. With a 52-week high of ₹2,037.00 and a low of ₹1,000.00, the shares continue to show volatility
