Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after being interrogated in the drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Apart from her, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, among others were also arrested.
Her bail application has been filed through advocate Satish Maneshinde and it says that Rhea is innocent and that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is deliberately trying to invoke stringent charges on her. The plea also calls the investigation by the central agencies (Central Bureau of Investigation, Enforcement Directorate, and the NCB), a ‘witch-hunt’. Now according to a report of Mumbai Mirror, the bail application also states that further custody will only worsen her mental health.
“Apart from that, the prosecution has made statements to the effect that applicant (Chakraborty) and her brother, Showik, were used by the late actor to procure drugs for himself,” Mumbai Mirror quoted Rhea’s bail application. The application also states that Sushant Singh Rajput was the only consumer of drugs.
