Exide Industries’ shares witnessed a decline of more than 3% after the company released its Q2 results.

The firm reported a total income of ₹4,320.11 crore, slightly lower than ₹4,326.91 crore in the previous quarter but showing growth compared to ₹4,145.83 crore in Q2 FY2023. Despite the dip in total income, Exide posted a net profit of ₹297.77 crore for the quarter, marking an increase from ₹279.57 crore in Q1 FY2024 and ₹287.00 crore in the same quarter last year.

For the half-year period ending September 30, 2024, Exide Industries reported a net interest income of ₹8,580.06 crore, up from ₹8,179.27 crore in the corresponding period last year.

As of 1:53 pm, Exide Industries shares were trading 3.10% lower at Rs 444.70 on the NSE.
