Hindustan Zinc Limited has informed stock exchanges about a key leadership change, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Sandeep Modi has submitted his resignation to pursue opportunities outside the organisation.
As per the company’s disclosure under SEBI Listing Regulations, the resignation letter dated May 4, 2026, was received via email at 10:14 AM (IST). Modi will continue to serve in his role until the close of business hours on May 30, 2026, ensuring continuity during the transition period.
The company clarified that the resignation is purely voluntary and driven by career considerations. Modi has confirmed that there are no other material reasons behind his decision. Following his exit, he will cease to be a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the company in accordance with Section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013.
In its official communication, signed by Aashhima V Khanna, Hindustan Zinc placed on record its appreciation for Modi’s contributions during his tenure and extended best wishes for his future endeavours. The company also stated that it will inform the stock exchanges in due course regarding the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, in line with regulatory requirements.
