Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled several models of CB350 and H’ness CB350 bikes manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024 due to issues with the wheel speed sensor and camshaft.

Due to problems with the wheel speed sensor, the two-wheeler maker said on Monday that it was recalling bike models CB300F, CB300R, CB350, H’ness CB350 and CB350RS. These motorcycles were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024.

In a statement, the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer stated that it had noticed that, as a result of an improper moulding procedure during manufacturing, water may seep into the wheel speed sensor. This might lead to a faulty speed sensor that could cause an error in the speedometer, traction control, or ABS intervention. In the worst-case situation, these faults may cause ineffective braking, which might lead to a fatal accident, especially if the motorbike is running at a higher speed.

The manufacturer stated that HMSI is recalling certain CB350, H’ness CB350 and CB350RS units due to problems with the camshaft component. Due to these problems, the manufacturer has not disclosed the precise number of motorcycles that are affected. According to HMSI’s statement, it has been determined that the camshaft’s incorrect manufacturing process may have had an effect on the vehicle’s optimal functioning. HMSI added that some motorcycles built between June and July of 2024 may have been affected by this potential problem.
