Kartik Aaryan recently made headlines when he rented an apartment in Mumbai for Rs. 4.5 lakh per month. A report by Square Yards, citing data from property registration documents, said the actor forayed into the competitive real estate market of Mumbai. The apartment’s lease and licence agreement was stamped with duty payment Rs. 42,500 on August 28, 2024. The said property is spread across 1,912 sq. ft. in Siddhi Vinayak Building in the exclusive Presidency Co-operative Society in Juhu – a locality synonymous with bungalows and buildings, that are often touted as virtual palaces, housing several film stars.

This is the same property that Kartik bought along with his mother, Mala Tiwari, for a staggering amount of Rs. 17.5 crore some time back. The deal includes two car parking slots also and involved stamp duty of Rs. 1.05 crore and registration fee of Rs. 30,000. The said property purchase was concluded on June 30, 2024, while the registration of documents took place one year prior on June 30, 2023.

By every standard, the rental yield infuses that Aaryan has made a reasonably well-performing investment and is a good contributor to his financial portfolio. This is not the first time Kartik Aaryan’s family has been in high-profile real estate dealings, as last year his mother had signed Shahid Kapoor’s house on lease for Rs. 7.5 lakh per month, and an additional deposit amount of Rs. 45 lakh being given for 36 months.
